Commercial Finance Partner Kathleen O. Currey has been inducted into the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers (“ACCFL”) at their annual meeting on April 5, 2024. ACCFL Fellows are lawyers who have achieved preeminence in the field of commercial finance law and those who have made substantial and sustained contributions to the promotion of learning and scholarship in commercial finance law, among other attributes.

The ACCFL is a professional organization dedicated to promoting the field of commercial finance law through education, legislative reform and the recognition of distinguished practitioners, jurists and academics. The College’s mission is to bring together into an association those highly qualified members of the legal profession who, by reason of their integrity, skill and experience, will contribute to the goals, accomplishments and good fellowship of the College.

Kathleen is an attorney with deep experience representing both financial institutions and borrowers in secured lending and restructuring matters. She has helped her clients structure, negotiate, and close numerous complex transactions. Kathleen’s proactive and client-focused approach leads to excellent commercial outcomes in her deals. Her deal experience includes syndicated loan facilities, asset-based financings, lender finance transactions and debtor-in-possession financings, and the negotiation of complex intercreditor and subordination agreements. Kathleen’s practice also includes representing administrative agents in syndicated loan facilities.

Kathleen is recognized by Chambers USA in Banking and Finance – Georgia (2013-2023) and The Best Lawyers in America in Banking and Finance Law (2016-2024), Banking and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law (2022-2024), and Commercial Finance Law (2024).
