David O’Neal and Drew Stevens will speak at the American Health Law Association’s Winter Institute February 11-13, 2026, in Las Vegas.
David O’Neal will serve as a panelist on “Civil Rights, Conscience, and Compliance: The Trump Administration’s Use of False Claims Act and OCR Authority in Health Care Enforcement.” This session will examine key DOJ and HHS memoranda and guidance, False Claims Act enforcement trends, HHS-OCR investigations, and practical risk-mitigation strategies for healthcare providers.
Drew Stevens will co-present “Health AI and Nondiscrimination Law,” analyzing how existing legal frameworks apply to health AI tools and highlighting best practices for proactively identifying, monitoring, and mitigating discrimination risks when procuring and deploying these technologies.
