Parker Hudson is pleased to announce that partner Bryan Bates recently joined the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Bar Association Bankruptcy Section. When asked to comment about joining this Board of Directors, Bryan stated, "I am very pleased to have the opportunity to serve on this Board. It is a great mix of local practitioners with a strong focus on local service and educational programming." The Bankruptcy Section of the Atlanta Bar Association has over 180 members in the metro Atlanta area whose practices involve debtor and creditor issues in the consumer and commercial law areas. The Section hosts a bi-monthly breakfast lecture series, a Fall Bankruptcy Section cocktail social, a Winter CLE program titled, "Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Year in Review,” a continuous community service project: Credit Abuse Resistance Program ("CARE”), a continuous Pro Bono Project: The Reaffirmation Project, and the Annual "Pollard Award” Luncheon and Consumer & Business CLE Program.

As a member of Parker Hudson’s Bankruptcy Practice Group, Bryan regularly represents secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, committees, trustees and other parties-in-interest in Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings, insolvency matters, and debtor/creditor litigation, both in and out of Court, including asset sales, reorganizations, litigation, and Chapter 11 proceedings. Bryan also represents parties in business disputes and commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts.

Bryan is listed as "Up and Coming" in the area of Bankruptcy and Restructuring by Chambers USA and has been  recognized as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers in the area of Business Litigation.
