Overview
For more than 35 years, Mike Robertson has represented national retailers in the acquisition, development, sale, and leasing of retail properties, representing tenants in complex, high-stakes negotiations. His work spans everything from anchor leases and build-to-suits in free-standing sites and retail and mixed-use centers. Known for drafting detail, responsiveness, and practical advice, Mike approaches his client relationships with a business-first mindset.
In addition, Mike represents clients in the purchase, sale, and leasing of all real property types. With decades of experience, clients trust Mike to navigate deal structures that align with their commercial goals. Mike represented Barnes & Noble for many years, a relationship that began in 1990. He was heavily involved in the roll-out and expansion of the Barnes & Noble Superstore concept that began in the early 1990s. Mike’s retail clients also include Ulta Beauty, and he has represented retailers such as The Container Store, The Gap and its related brands, and Nike. Mike has been a frequent speaker at real estate law seminars, including ICSC Law Conferences.
