Oct 19, 2020
Parker Hudson is pleased to announce that its partner Ron Coleman has been elected as the next Chair of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Franchising, the section of the ABA devoted to the practice of franchise law. Ron will begin his two-year term as Chair effective August 2021. Ron has most recently served for six years as a nationally elected member of the Forum’s Governing Committee, and has been active in various leadership and presentation roles in the Forum for more than 25 years. Ron commented: “I am honored and humbled to have this opportunity to lead and give back to the Forum on Franchising, which has contributed so much to my practice and professional life for many years.” The firm congratulates Ron on this honor.
Franchising as a method of distributing products and services continues to be an increasingly important segment of the US and global economies, and the legal issues and implications are complex. The Forum on Franchising’s mission is to be the preeminent forum for the study and discussion of the legal aspects of franchising. The Forum does that by providing high quality programing, publications, and networking opportunities for lawyers who represent both franchisors and franchisees. Parker Hudson looks forward to supporting Ron in furthering the mission and efforts of the Forum.
Parker Hudson’s franchise practice represents franchisors in all types of litigation and dispute resolution, counseling, intellectual property, and transactional matters.
