The global health emergency in 2020 from the Novel Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) outbreak has had a major impact on litigation in general, and labor and employment law in particular. This presentation will facilitate an exchange of ideas and allow participants to discuss best practices. Topics will include:

  • Remote Litigation. Dealing with the “new normal” of closed courthouses, deadline extension and stays, and the art of remote hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Telework. Is telework here to stay, and how are employers grappling with novel compensability issues and employees who refuse to return to work?
  • Novel claims and lawsuits in 2020. Employers are facing a wave of lawsuits stemming from the Covid-19 pandemic, and have to navigate an ever-evolving patchwork of state and federal regulations, and executive orders.

The presentation is open to all. CLE credit is available for ACC members. Register here
