Parker Hudson is pleased to announce our partnership with Diversity Lab through their “Mansfield Rule for Midsize Law Firms” effort. The Mansfield Rule measures efforts in hiring, development, inclusion, and promotion of historically underrepresented lawyers with the goal of increasing the representation of diverse lawyers in law firm leadership by broadening the pool of candidates considered for these opportunities.

The Midsize initiative is modeled after the original Mansfield Rule’s 30 percent diverse candidate rule for recruitment, governance roles, equity partner promotions, and inclusion in formal pitches to clients. The Midsize cohort has requirements developed for firms with fewer than 100 lawyers in the U.S. and is tailored for smaller lawyer populations with fewer office locations and leaner firm leadership and governance structures.

“Being a part of this effort will compliment Parker Hudson’s efforts to live inclusiveness every day in our offices, where we actively work to foster an atmosphere that values and respects our differences and encourages authenticity and listening,” said Kathleen Currey, the firm’s Diversity Committee chair and Executive Committee member. “Parker Hudson has a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and working with Diversity Lab will serve to keep us focused on our goals.”
