Mar 20, 2025
Parker Hudson, a mid-sized law firm with an integrated collection of high-value boutique business practices, is pleased to announce that former Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois David M. Caves has joined the Chicago office, bolstering its Complex Litigation & Restructuring practice.
Parker Hudson formed the Complex Litigation & Restructuring Team in early 2025 to leverage the Firm’s deep experience in mass tort bankruptcies and insurance coverage litigation, providing go-to counsel for insurance companies navigating complex legal challenges in this area. David’s nationwide experience in insurance coverage litigation deepens the team’s bench in this area.
David brings nearly two decades of experience resolving highly complex litigation for his clients, navigating disputes across multiple subject areas and jurisdictions. He has represented clients in a range of disputes, with a recent focus on insurance coverage, business torts, trade secrets, class action defense, and contract litigation. He has resolved highly complex matters in a variety of arenas, from the courtroom to alternative dispute tribunals.
“Having worked with David at a previous firm on insurance dispute and other complex litigation cases, I am personally excited at the chance to practice together again,” said Todd C. Jacobs, Complex Litigation & Restructuring Practice Group Leader. “David brings a keen business knowledge to his litigation practice, and I know that will continue to benefit our clients.”
