Parker Hudson assists Georgia inmate in Eleventh Circuit appeal raising important issues for incarcerated plaintiffs asserting violations of First Amendment rights

The Eleventh Circuit has declined to review a panel decision restricting an inmate’s right to recover punitive damages for violations of First Amendment rights. Anne Horn Baroody represented Mr. Carter in raising the issue, among others, to a panel of the Eleventh Circuit. The Roderick and Solange MacArthur Justice Center at Northwestern’s Pritzker School of Law briefed the issue in seeking rehearing by the full Court. View Article
