July 6, 2020 – Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs, LLP is pleased to announce that Harrison Roberts has been elected by the firm’s partners to serve as the firm’s Managing Partner. Mr. Roberts is the third Managing Partner in the firm’s 39-year history and succeeds G. Wayne Hillis, Jr., who is looking forward to returning to the full-time practice of law after 12 plus years (2008-2020) of outstanding service and leadership as the firm’s Managing Partner.

As a partner in the firm’s Commercial Finance practice, Mr. Roberts will continue to represent financial institutions and corporate borrowers in negotiating, structuring, and closing secured lending transactions. As a firm leader, he has a strategic view of the firm and champions a vision for future growth. Two of Roberts’ immediate priorities are to promote the firm’s established culture of exceptional client service and professional development during uncertain times, and to continue expanding opportunities for women and diverse attorneys, particularly at the partner level.

“I am genuinely honored and humbled by the opportunity to serve the firm in this role and to succeed a leader like Wayne, who has set a high bar,” Roberts said. “The past twelve years have been a highly successful period in our firm’s history, due in large part to Wayne’s leadership, commitment to client service and dedication to the unique culture that defines Parker Hudson. I am grateful for this opportunity and the trust that my colleagues have placed in me.” Roberts will work closely with Hillis and other senior leadership to ensure a seamless transition and continuity in the day-to-day management of the firm.

“Harrison is a proven leader and a brilliant and accomplished partner in our firm. With his extraordinary energy, vision, mastery over all aspects of the firm’s business, and people skills, I am confident that he will lead the firm to even greater heights and further solidify the firm as the “Go To” business law firm in Atlanta. Having worked closely with Harrison during the transition, he’ll be a terrific managing partner,” said Wayne Hillis.

“It’s been an honor to lead this exceptional firm, where I’ve practiced for the past 31 years,” Hillis said. “I know that Parker Hudson will continue to grow and flourish under Harrison’s leadership and through the outstanding talent and commitment of our lawyers and staff throughout the firm.”

“We are grateful to Wayne for his vision and leadership over the last twelve years,” said Bobbi Acord Noland, a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Practice Group Leader for the Commercial Finance practice. “The firm has adapted to the changing legal marketplace and excelled because of Wayne’s tireless, steadfast focus on building client relationships, deepening our talent and diversity, and strengthening our culture. The firm is confident that Harrison will continue this legacy of excellence in the future.”
