Recruiting Overview

ATTORNEY AND SUMMER CLERK RECRUITING

We believe that recruitment of bright and highly motivated law students and attorneys is essential to the success of our firm, and we are focused on identifying and attracting outstanding candidates. We are interested in candidates with excellent undergraduate and law school academics, law review or moot court experience, and strong extra-curricular activities. We feel we offer candidates a friendly and collegial work environment that fosters continued professional development and professional excellence. Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs LLP is one of the firms featured in America's Greatest Places to Work with a Law Degree (Harcourt Brace and Company, 1999).

We recruit law school students by participating in on-campus recruiting programs at various law schools each year and by conducting in-firm interviews of potential candidates. In addition, we sponsor a summer clerkship program each year in which law students from different law schools are invited to spend all or a portion of their summers at the firm. During the summer clerkship program, we give our summer clerks the opportunity to work on important and interesting work projects while also introducing them to life in Atlanta and the social fabric of our firm. A mentor is provided to assist each summer clerk during his or her time at our firm. The summer clerks also are able to rotate through the firm's various practice groups and work on a variety of legal projects in an effort to expose them to the different practice groups of our firm and to as many attorneys as possible.

We also recruit lateral candidates and candidates emerging from judicial clerkships from time to time based upon the needs of our firm. Many of our partners and associates are alumni of other prestigious firms or have served as judicial clerks.

Our compensation and benefit packages for attorneys are designed to be competitive with the major Atlanta law firms.

NON-LEGAL PERSONNEL RECRUITING

Parker, Hudson recruits and hires qualified non-legal personnel to support its attorneys. Job qualifications vary from position to position. Interested candidates should check the available positions outlined on this web site.

Our compensation and benefit packages for non-legal personnel are designed to be competitive with the major Atlanta law firms.
