Bob Weiss and Karen Putnal recently won an appellate order securing the right of an innovative and well-respected Tampa Bay healthcare system to establish a new hospital in Riverview, Florida, despite aggressive opposition from regional competitors. The decision, affirmed on appeal, reversed the State's original denial of the project. The new hospital will create a new and much-needed point of access to high quality acute care services in south Hillsborough County, Florida. The appellate victory comes as our client prepares to celebrate the opening of another new hospital in north Hillsborough County, an earlier project that was also hotly contested and ultimately approved.
