About Cinnamon

Cinnamon has extensive experience representing clients, including national banking associations, securities broker/dealers, and Fortune 500 companies, in litigation matters involving a wide variety of issues including breach of contract, fraud, conversion, defamation, premises liability, securities, banking, and employment discrimination. In addition to representing her clients in state and federal courts, Cinnamon has represented clients in arbitrations before the National Association of Securities Dealers (now FINRA), the New York Stock Exchange, and the American Arbitration Association. She also has successfully represented clients in mediations, case evaluations, and other types of ADR processes.

Cinnamon has represented financial institutions in commercial litigation matters involves claims under the Uniform Commercial Code, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and the Truth in Lending Act. She also has extensive experience defending brokers/dealers in arbitrations involving investor claims of churning, unsuitability, unauthorized trading, fraud, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, failure to supervise, and violation of state and federal securities statutes.

Cinnamon also has significant experience defending clients in litigation matters before the EEOC, federal courts, and in arbitrations involving claims under Title VII, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. She successfully represented a national securities broker/dealer in mediations and arbitrations arising from a class action settlement involving claims of gender discrimination, failure to promote, and retaliation. She also provides general advice to clients on employment disputes and has extensive experience drafting and reviewing employment agreements, company policies, and employee handbooks.

  • Represented broker/dealers and their agents in arbitrations before FINRA, the NASD, and the NYSE involving investor claims of churning, unsuitability, unauthorized trading, fraud, negligence, failure to supervise, and violation of various state and federal securities statutes. In addition, she has represented clients in contract and employment disputes before FINRA, the NASD, and the AAA.

  • Represented national banking associations and other banking entities in UCC matters involving check fraud and forgeries, wrongful dishonor, negligence, breach of contract, and conversion.
  • Successfully defended clients in NASD and NYSE arbitrations involving investor claims relating to purchase of all types of securities, including stocks, mutual funds, bonds, and variable annuities.
  • Successfully represented financial institutions, including national banking associations, in appeals before the Court of Appeals of Georgia and Supreme Court of Georgia.
