About John
John is an associate with the firm's Litigation practice group. His experience focuses primarily on complex civil litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, securities litigation, and general commercial litigation in both federal and state courts. John also has experience in intellectual property litigation, including both trademark and copyright disputes. Additionally, John has a broad range of pro bono experience, including representing a client in asylum proceedings before the U.S. Immigration Court.
John's business litigation experience includes representing a major banking institution in a fraud action, representing a major securities broker/dealer in various FINRA arbitration proceedings, defending a high-profile automobile industry advocate in a trademark dispute, and representing a music publisher in a breach of contract/copyright case concerning the copyrights and royalties to hundreds of hit songs.
During law school, John was actively involved in Wake Forest's oral advocacy program. He was a member of the TYLA National Trial Team, helping to lead a team to the national rounds in Houston, Texas. John was also an editorial staff member of the Wake Forest Law Review, and part of the committee that brought guest speakers to the law school.
Before joining the firm, John was an associate at a prominent law firm in Los Angeles, California.
